Forgive Yourself Sis!

Updated: Jan 21, 2019

We are often so hard on ourselves whenever a relationship fails, or situations in our lives don't work out the way that we wanted them to.

Why do we do this to ourselves?  Why can't we let go of the guilt?

Because as women we are nurturers by nature and believe that surely there has to be something that we could have done better to receive the outcome that we envisioned.

Guess what?  Sometimes life happens and we have no control over outcomes, especially when there are other people and factors involved.

What I have learned is that we cannot control all outcomes. Who knew, right?

What we can control is how we respond to an outcome.

We we can also decide whether or not we will let these less than desirable outcomes stop us in our tracks and hinder our healing and ability to move on with our lives.

The very first step in the healing process is to forgive ourselves.  This is a non-negotiable.

Try to take a step back and marvel at your life.  All the grief softened you, the heartache made you stronger and the suffering strengthened you.

Forgive yourself for not knowing what you didn't know while you were living through it!  Once you learn the lesson, try your best not to make the same mistake twice.

It has been my experience that God allows you to go through the same situations until you learn the lesson.

Ugh LOL

Trust your journey, learn from your mistakes and don't just move on with your life...LIVE IT TO CAPACITY!
