  • I love millennials…they often get a bad rap, but they (some) actually take the time to think through their decisions,,,They rock with me and keep me informed

  • Aging is a gift

  • Quit apologizing to people who don't get you

  • Liking you is more important than loving you to me

  • Do not save anything for a special occasion...live now

  • Simple things give me life

  • Your kind of fun does not have to match other people's kind of fun

  • People are judgmental…period…it is what it is

  • You cannot want more for a person than they want for themselves

  • If it aint one thing it's 12

  • You can be more educated or qualified for a position than another person and not get the position

  • There will be times when you will work your tail off and your hard work will still go unnoticed and unacknowledged

  • Sometimes networking wins over a degree

  • Don't hesitate to change jobs, demand more money or move

  • Save money

  • What God has for you is for you

  • God does not care about your timeline. He does what He does when He does it

  • People friend differently and that’s ok

  • Energy (both positive and negative) is contagious

  • Vent to God because He is the ONLY one who really cares

  • Leave after the first lie

  • Never vent to your girlfriends about your significant other

  • If you must vent about your significant other be sure to state the good things as well...otherwise the bad stuff is ALL that your friends will remember

  • Think with your head and not your heart

  • Working remote is an introvert's dream

  • Never beg for friendships or relationships

  • Love is great, but it takes way more than love to keep a relationship together

  • Love does not pay the bills

  • Your significant other should understand the importance of finances and how to prioritize and budget

  • Black people…it’s ok to go to therapy

  • Your friend who is not my friend should not know all my business

  • Most people were not raised like you. Pay attention

  • You do not have to take on a person's shit

  • If they talk about people behind their back and treat people poorly, they will do the same to you

  • Your mindset about your life is key

  • Life is really short

  • Do not take anything for granted

  • Time really does heal your heart

  • Go to couples/marriage counseling before things go south instead going as a last resort to save a relationship...maintenance is good

  • It’s never too late to have the life you want…but you gotta work hard for it

  • Live in the moment

  • Forgive but don’t forget…girl keep ya head up

  • You can be the nicest, kindest person and still go through it

  • God lets you repeat situations as many times as it takes for you to get the lesson

  • A person’s lack of planning is not your emergency

  • In all relationships…Difference of opinion is fine, disrespect and dysfunction are not

  • If you are married, don’t take advice from single people

  • Keep your relationship private…talk to your mate and God only when trying to find resolutions

  • All relationships should be reciprocal

  • You cannot force a vibe…either it is or it isn’t

  • The truth is the truth no matter how many times you tell it

  • Change is good

  • Honesty is refreshing…even if the truth hurts

  • Protect your heart

  • Women should never be struggling because of a man

  • You do not have to be a "ride or die chick" I am done riding and I aint dying

  • Pastors are only men…they are human

  • Some people just suck and you cannot change them

  • Social media is not the devil…the use/intention behind the use of social media can be the devil

  • You can meet the same type of crazy people at the market as you can on a dating app

  • You cannot as a parent tell your child how they should live as they watch you do the complete opposite

  • Please stop letting your boyfriend keep your children...or anyone else that you have not heavily vetted for that matter

  • You can have friends and like them best for different reasons

  • Music can literally save your life

  • Pain can teach great life lessons if you are willing to learn

  • Learn to communicate effectively

  • Learn to see things from different perspectives and use critical thinking

  • You truly do reap what you sow

  • You only get one set of parents...cherish them
