Have you ever been presented with an opportunity and thought ok, yes this is it...what I have been waiting for? It may have been a job promotion, a new relationship or an opportunity to apply for a new car or home loan.
You're thinking yes, I got this and then...dun dun dun...the chips don't fall they way that you think they will. It can be very discouraging. So then you are left feeling overlooked and trying to wrap your brain around what you did wrong or what you could have done better.
Let me tell you. You can have all of the qualifications and experience necessary and also be a great fit, but if a particular opportunity is not for you, then guess what? God will not allow it!
We have to learn to trust God's timing. He knows what's best for us and sometimes we do not receive the things that we think we should because God is protecting us from things that we cannot see coming or, he has bigger plans for us. We have to be patient.
Another reason for the "denial" could be that we are not the only ones that God would like to bless. He may see fit to bless others with the very same opportunities that we feel that we should have. We sometimes can't understand it because we do not have all of the puzzle pieces...but guess who does? God!
While being passed over or overlooked is never a great feeling, it is not the end of the world. When we experience these moments, it is a great time for some self-reflection, not self-pity.
Remain gracious and stay focused on the next level of what you wish to achieve and watch what happens!
Keep a great attitude while you wait for God to bless you with the opportunity that is tailor made for you!!! Remember, it is not the end of the world!
